Sunshine & Textiles

Would you look at that... it's the sun.  It has been a rare thing to see this winter.  For the past month and a half we have had more days of inversion (smog trapped in the bowl of the surrounding mountains.  We live in said bowl) than not.  I think we've been able to see the sun shining maybe 5 times since Christmas.

Here was another clear afternoon, but just that morning it was so foggy I could not see 10 feet in front of my car taking kids to school.  Then it cleared, but left the lovely white coating on everything. (it looks lovely, but I would be better off if I didn't know that it was a coating of pollution)

Most days it looked something more like this...

or this...
what an amazing winter we've had.  Beautiful.

...........................

And speaking of beautiful!

Looky here!  I have three new items up in my brand new Etsy shop (see link on sidebar)!  I finished these projects off in a week's time.  Record-setting (for me)!

So here is my lovely model, Laci, doing a wonderful job of both looking gorgeous and not looking freezing (although she was).
Photo above: the Loophole Cowl
below: Charcoal Slouchy Hat
(sold! or shall I say, bartered, for a new hair-do by none other than the lovely Laci)

And here we have the adorable Hoodie Hat with Applique Alpaca.  I love this one.  Already have another one of these on the needles.
